Trainer Emeritus

Jane Watson is a specialist in the written word. For over 20 years, she had designed and delivered workshop in business writing for both the public and private sectors. Some of her clients include BMW, Sony of Canada, Hydro One, AstraZeneca, Oxford Properties, Ontario Realty Corp., LCBO, Everest Research and the Ontario Hospital Association. Her workshops are part of the staff accreditation programs for both Queen’s University and Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.

After graduation from the University of Waterloo, Jane joined the Ontario government as an information officer, writing news releases, letters and reports. Later she became editor of a bimonthly newspaper and a college lecturer.

A recognized expert in the field of business communications, Jane has been interviewed on radio and TV. Both her books, The Minute Taker’s Handbook and Business Writing Basics, are considered best sellers for non-fiction. (Business Writing Basics has been translated into Mandarin.)  In addition, she has had over 300 articles published. Jane also produced over 300 grammar tip that are posted on the blog page.

Jane is known for her ability to deliver — what some might call —dry information in a relaxed and entertaining manner. Her workshops are high content, practical and interactive.
