Learn professional vector design skills in Adobe Illustrator

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This hands-on Adobe Illustrator training course covers the Illustrator workspace, document setup, shape tools, colour modes, fills, strokes, swatches, gradients, object editing, and basic effects. Participants will learn how Illustrator differs from bitmap-based programs and how to build clean, scalable graphics using practical workplace examples.

Our hands-on software training is delivered on-site or virtually to your organization by an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE). Training is customized to user skill levels and version being used within the organization.

Two modules are offered for each Adobe app. It is recommended to take both modules for each chosen topic, however, they do not need to be on back-to-back days. Half-day or advanced workshops are also available by request.

  • Employees who are new to Adobe Illustrator or need a structured introduction
  • Organizations that want consistent, hands-on Illustrator training for staff using Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Team members responsible for updating logos, icons, diagrams, or branded assets

YOU WILL LEARN:

  • Understand the difference between bitmap and vector graphics and when to use Illustrator
  • Navigate the Illustrator workspace, panels, tools, guides, grids, and viewing options
  • Create new documents and apply appropriate settings for print or digital use
  • Use shape tools to build basic artwork with fills, strokes, swatches, and colour panels
  • Apply and edit colour, tints, shades, gradients, and basic object attributes
  • Modify artwork using stacking order, Pathfinder, Shape Builder, Live Paint, blends, and live effects

METHODS TO BE USED

This one-day Adobe Illustrator – Module I workshop is delivered as hands-on software training for groups of 4 to 20 participants. Training can be delivered on-site, virtually, or in a hybrid format and can be customized to the version of Adobe Illustrator used by your organization. Participants work through guided demonstrations and practical exercises to build confidence using Illustrator tools, panels, documents, colours, and objects.
