Jake Cruickshank Trainer

Jake Cruickshank specializes in Indigenous criminal justice involvement, diversion programs (adult and youth), children and youth wellness, as well as children and youth mental health and suicide prevention programming.

A graduate of McMaster University, he has been active in the Indigenous community for over ten years. During his time at McMaster, Jake became passionate about all things Indigenous and began a journey to reclaim the Indigenous culture taken from his bloodline.

He has been an Executive Board Member for the “Youth Movement,” a Recruitment Coordinator for both McMaster’s Indigenous Student Services, and McMaster Indigenous Student Health Sciences. Currently, Jake is a Program Advisor for the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres (OFIFC) and sits on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board Task Force for Adler Graduate Professional School.

Jake Cruickshank has spoken and paneled at Citizens for the Advancement of Community Development (CACD)Adler Graduate Professional School; and private, public, and Catholic schools across Ontario. An engaging speaker, he both educates and inspires his audiences.
