Darya Duma is a trainer and consultant in project management with over 20 years of experience in both practicing and teaching.
Darya’s practical experience comes from her many years as a project manager: first in “hard” projects, such as managing industrial elevator installations, and then in “soft” projects developing national and international standards with CSA International.
A few of the projects she has managed include providing elevators for Hibernia GBS, Sudbury Neutrino Observatory, Ontario Hydro, Alberta Power, and Vancouver Port. She also has extensive international experience with clients in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.
In addition to teaching part-time at Queens University, she has designed courses for Bruce Power LP, Public Works and Government Services Canada, Ontario Power Generation, National Energy Board, and University of Toronto.
Whether she is leading a virtual or face-to-face workshop, Darya believes in providing her participants with practical information that focuses on her client’s needs. She is equally great with technical and non-technical audiences. Participants enjoy her stories that reinforce key learnings.
In her spare time, Darya enjoys renovating her old house and organizing dinners and barbecues (her husband does the cooking).
